Draping I
Final
muslin practice

The greatest lesson I learned for Draping I (taught especially while working on this garment), is that the type of fabric you drape with for your prototype (whether muslin or other), needs to have excellent fabric properties. They either need to resemble or be similar to your fashion fabric, or the final outcome will turn out differently. Invest in quality muslin, because it’ll only give you great results.

I had made an error when draping, and had to re-drape my concept using a different quality muslin, one that had a different poorer-quality hand than this one. While the final garment still came out beautiful, you will see the great jump between the two when using different type of muslins, and how that could affect your design.
